A town located in Berkshire has developed into a suburb. It is all adjacent to the growth that spreads from Reading. Earley is located at the eastern end of this conurbation. Erleigh and Erlegh are also variations of the name. It's located about two miles east and south of central Reading and five miles west of Wokingham. Around 30,000 people live there.
The 20th-century town planning has transformed the town into something that is no longer recognisable from its former village form. The town is now divided into smaller areas such as Maiden Erlegh, Lower Earley, and Lower Earley. These were previously separate places. Earley still has remnants of ancient woods within its borders, such as Pearman's Copse (also known as Redhatch Copse), High Wood, and Pearmans Copse.
Woodley is located in the Borough of Wokingham (Berkshire), England. It is four miles east of Reading, joined with the town of Earley two miles west and five miles away from Wokingham. Woodley had little importance until the 1930s. Woodley Aerodrome opened in the 1930s on a 100-acre Sandford Farm field. Woodley grew after the Second World War. Industry relocated from Reading and new housing was built. It has also been voted among the 20 safest towns to live in.
